Cloudberry grows wild in the bogs and tundra of the far north. It is rare enough to be prized in Nordic countries, and it is one of the most interesting berries in our formulas.
What Is Cloudberry Fruit Extract?
Cloudberry comes from Rubus Chamaemorus, a low plant related to raspberries. In our formulas it is sourced from organic farming.
Cloudberries are a strong source of vitamin C and of ellagitannins, a type of polyphenol. A 2001 study in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry on berry phenolics found that berries in the Rubus family, including cloudberry, have high antioxidant activity linked to these compounds. Cloudberry seed oil is also known for its omega fatty acids and vitamin E.

It also appears in the Soft Skin Hand Cream and the Soft Start Baby Body Lotion.
How to Use It
Use cloudberry products as directed. It is gentle and fits morning and evening routines. Pair antioxidant-rich products with daily sunscreen for the best everyday protection.
What the Research Doesn't Say
Research on cloudberry is mostly about the berry as a food and on lab antioxidant tests. Clinical studies on skin are limited, so we treat it as a nourishing antioxidant booster.
